Membership and Certifications
Professional Clinical Member (PCM)
This may include any CPE student, current or former spiritual care professionals, or allied professionals. Clinical Members have access to educational discounts, local peer groups, and mentor contact information.
Certified Clinical Chaplain (CCC)
CPE students, current or retired chaplains, endorsers, educators, or allied professionals who have completed at least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Board Certified Chaplain (BCC)
Board Certified Chaplains are current or retired chaplains, endorsers, educators, or allied professionals who have completed a Master of Divinity, four units of Clinical Pastoral Education, board certification essays, and peer interview.
Certified Anxiety Specialist Certification (CAS)
The Certified Anxiety Specialist (CAS) Certification is designed for professionals who have successfully completed 50 hours of continuing education specializing in anxiety and who have demonstrated expertise in the field through research, teaching or media project. This certification, issued by the National Association of Certified Military Chaplains (NACMC), validates your expertise in recognizing, understanding, and addressing anxiety-related challenges in various settings.

Application: To obtain the CAS Certification, applicants must complete the CAS application form, provide evidence of 50 hours of coursework in anxiety, and a demonstrate expertise in anxiety work through a research paper or teaching video, and a $35 certification fee to NACMC. The CAS certification can be used to showcase professional expertise in anxiety-related care.

The NACMC is a private organization that serves the certification needs of military chaplains and those serving the needs of military chaplains. The NACMC is not an extension of the Department of Defense. Any disagreements or discrepancies with the NACMC should be handled directly with the NACMC.
